Standardize TSA screenings for diabetic persons using wearable self-monitoring medical equipment
We petition the White House and Congress to mandate that employees of the Transportation Safety Administration be educated about diabetic self-monitoring medical equipment (e.g. insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors). TSA employees should be familiarized with the types, models and use of these medical technologies. We also petition for federal standardization of TSA screening for people using these technologies so that the medical privacy and right to privacy of people with diabetes are respected throughout the screening.
