Awwww, I am disappointed!
According to the order department of Dexcom this afternoon, Dexcom will not be shipping the G6 orders until April 2019 or later, as they must “build up their inventory.” No new rx is needed. And there is no waiting list you can access. They will ship out, according to when they expect your next transmitter order will be coming up.
I’m happy that Medicare is covering the G6. I am sad that I have to wait!
I figured from the git-go of the G6 approval by CMS/Medicare it would be sometime in 2019.
Yes, I’m very glad for the G6 approval and I’m also OK with the wait for good timing.
I am “ahead” with my G5 transmitters right now (go figure) so I’m cool.
Unfortunately I don’t have an X2 pump and the soonest I can hopefully transition to an X2 or whatever Tandem has at that time will be Feb-2021.
I dumped my Ping for a free MedT 630G and it is working perfectly fine for me as a “pump”. Actually is working better than my Ping.
My Ping warranty (as dictated by CMS/Medicare was/is Feb-2021 so I was not in a good situation at all for timing on that device.
