Hi My name is Gary Rapson and I am reaching out to the diabetes community and was hoping you would help, My 6 year son Max was diagnosed when he was just 18months old we almost lost him to this terrible disease. for the past years Max has been using an insulin pump to control his bloods, the day he received this was a tough day he was scared and confused, as parents we received leaflets and information that was a great help but nothing for our son. until now!! The story of The Adventures of Captain Lantus is Maxs idea about a small boy that receives an insulin pump and with that becomes a superhero that saves the day.. our aim is to be able to share this story and future story’s with children across the world, would be amazing if they received a copy on the day they got the pump to help them feel empowered and not scared . we maybe aiming high but I believe this book will make a massive difference and help so many people. the book is due to be completed on the 5th September and I cant tell you how excited myself Max and his mum are right now. im trying to build an audience so that I can share updates on how the book is coming on and when it will be available to buy, we have a FB page simply named the adventures of captain lantus. anything you can do to help us would be appreciated like you wouldn’t know. Stay safe and I hope to hear your thoughts. kind regards
Thanks Gary … sent you a private response.
